This year, we are rolling out our very own wallpaper to accompany our stories.

Entitled Fluidity, the artwork is a combination of the sea’s fluid movement and paint’s dynamic texture.

Fluidity by MJ Jucutan

Fluidity is a reminder that technology constantly flows from one place to another. It moves from various directions and can take any form or shape. The paint’s pigmentation and vibrancy symbolize the diverse perspectives on technology that our team aims to offer.

GadgetMatch’s very own artist MJ Jucutan crafted the wallpaper.

Fluidity is available on different platforms, and it comes in different sizes and dimensions for every device

Many of you have been wanting it, so we’ve decided to share the entire collection with you. Download the wallpapers here.

‘Dewing Things Alone’ is the wallpaper for rainy season

Sometimes, you just gotta love the rain

Changing your wallpapers to suit the weather is perfectly valid behavior. If you’re in the mood to switch your wallpaper this rainy season, here’s one for you.

Angelikah Gustilo, the Philippine-based artist behind our well-loved Pride wallpapers, came up with yet another wallpaper to match your emotions.

Entitled “Dewing Things Alone”, this set of wallpapers evokes a feeling of comfort and being at home. It captures that serenity and peace you enjoy as the rain pours, living in the comfort of yourself and connecting on a mundane yet meaningful level.

To Gustilo, rainy days have always been a source of comfort as an only child. The rainy season gave her books which transported her to places, and hot drinks that made her warm and giddy — enough to ponder and look out of the windows and imagine what awaits when the storm is over.

These wallpapers are her own take on loving the rainy season, and she hopes there are people who can relate to her love for the rain.

GadgetMatch’s wallpaper ‘Fluid’ is a coming out story

GadgetMatch’s wallpaper for Pride Month embraces being queer

Published

on

Happy Pride Month from the GadgetMatch team!

Continuing our celebration with the LGBTQ+ community, we have one more wallpaper to share.

Introducing Fluid, the artwork explores the concept of one’s sexuality — forever changing, forever molding, and forever discovering. The rainbow pattern is speckled with grain, suggesting noise as the obstacles in the journey to self-love and self-discovery.

On another note, the words “Let Me Be Perfectly Queer” are a nod to allowing yourself to embrace your authentic self without reservations. It’s choosing to let go of painful moments — and memories — that forced you to stay silent.

Fluid reminds us to allow ourselves to grow in the love we feel, even if it’s scary and different. The artwork is designed by Philippine-based artist, Angelikah Gustilo, who is also behind No Different, the wallpaper we released previously.

“In the last semester of my third year in University, I took a class by Alfred Marasigan and Hidde van der Wall titled Art of the Queer. The course allowed me to be less afraid of my own self-exploration journey, and I’m grateful to be able to showcase these simple pieces that are the gems of wisdom I took away from the class,” said Gustilo.

GadgetMatch’s wallpaper ‘No Different’ celebrates love and queer people

It’s all about embracing individuality

Happy Pride Month from the GadgetMatch team!

As part of celebrating love, freedom, and the LGBTQ+ community, we’ve asked an artist to create an artwork that depicts Pride.

Angelikah Gustilo, an artist based in the Philippines, came up with No Different. To Gustilo, No Different presents queer people as people — capable of loving despite the difference in orientation.

Through geometric shapes, Gustilo presented that being queer isn’t dictated by a certain look, or a certain manner you carry yourself. It’s being different; deviating from what the majority of society thinks is normal. The larger rectangle represents the space where everyone exists, regardless of their orientation.
